About Me

My name is Joseph Earles. I am a forty-something husband and father and a full-time freelance copywriter. I made the break from wage slavery back in 2012 when I discovered that I simply didn’t have time to manage a day job and write at the same time anymore. I decided to do what made me happy so I fired the boss and started freelancing full-time. I developed a reputation early on for being able to deliver quality content and I have since worked with a long list of satisfied clients who consistently praise the work I do and hire me for subsequent projects again and again. This business is very self-affirming for me and it gives me great joy to deliver content that elevates the brand, product or message of each of my clients.

In the life experience category, I’ve managed a lot in four decades. I’ve held every type of job you can name from washing dishes and flipping burgers to hawking cheap healthcare plans. I’ve tried my hand at telemarketing and I’ve worked as an adjunct professor of English Composition at a local college. I’ve sold sporting goods for three major retailers. I have worked in technical support, Information Technology, and broadcasting. I taught Driver’s Ed for three years and survived. I even spent a year in youth ministry and am still cultivating a healthy spiritual life (albeit from a slightly different angle these days). All of that experience positions me well for the eclectic nature of copywriting and I bring every ounce of that experience to the table when I write.

So why should you hire me to write for you?

I know how difficult it is to find a good copywriter. I’ve cleaned up after enough of them to know just how badly people like you need someone who can deliver quality. I’ve done my fair share of re-writing other people’s stuff on top of generating original high-quality content, and through that process I’ve discovered that there is a reason why so few clients are willing to pay well to have someone else write for them. The return on their investment is generally not that great, to put it lightly.

Copywriting is like any other profession: good copywriters are hard to find. There are those who are more hobbyist writers than they are career ones. There are the ones who get into this thinking it’ll be easy money and it can be done in their spare time. That’s great if you don’t factor in things like deadlines, but, for most business people, time is a real consideration. You want me on your team because I do this full-time, I recognize the value of your time and I respect deadlines. I further recognize the value of your reputation and I know that how you are represented through the content I provide matters. This is why, when you hire me to write for you, I WRITE FOR YOU. I will never farm out work to another contractor unless I tell you I’m doing so and if I ever do, it will be to a writer or team who shares my commitment to your project, has undergone a comprehensive screening process and can write copy on par with my own.

I will never deliver spun content (unless you request it) and, while I may take advantage of the information I find in research, you will never have to worry about my work passing Copyscape. Anyone can cut and paste. If you hire me to write, I’m going to write copy, not copy what’s been written. Isn’t there enough of that going on already?

If you need another reason, I’m open to fielding any questions you may have. Feel free to e-mail me at joe@expert-copywriting.com or at my private e-mail address: joe.earles@gmail.com.
